2020 Registration Delayed
Please be advised that the Mississauga Majors 2020 House League Registration has been delayed.
Baseball Ontario has arbitrarily required Local associations to force any House League Registrant to become a member of Baseball Ontario.
As such, Baseball Ontario is compelling the Mississauga Majors to hand over Personal Information (Full Name, Birth date, address, phone number and parent/guardian name) over to Baseball Ontario.
The Mississauga Majors have objected to this draconian attempt to inflate Baseball Ontario's membership numbers with Mississauga Majors House League members.
Baseball Ontario does offer programs and facilitates Select and Rep competitive baseball in Ontario, as per their constitution. They do not offer any programs or facilitation for local House League registrants.

In a meeting with Baseball Ontario's president, it was revealed that the purpose of this new requirement is to increase the dollars obtained by provincial grants for Ontario Baseball and to share information with possible commercial entities for commercial gain.
The Majors are opposed to providing any personal information for these purposes, as they provide zero benefit to its house league members.
Likewise, the Mississauga Majors does not share any of its members Personal information unless is is required for the purposes of providing services to its members.
The penalty for non-compliance in handing over House League registrant data is that Baseball Ontario would strip The Mississauga Majors of their Baseball Ontario membership and thus, Select and Rep players would not be permitted to play in Ontario tournaments or National competitions, though it would not affect House League play in the least.
As such, the Majors are in the process of determining next steps which may include legal action.
Rest assured, there will be a normal house league season this year, and the delay in opening registration is administrative in nature. Updates will be posted as appropriate.
