Softball League Overview

The goal of our softball teams is to help girls develop a love for the game of softball. This is accomplished by focusing on teaching softball's fundamental skills and strategies in a safe and fun environment. Our softball teams compete in the Mississauga Girls Softball Association (MGSA).

The Majors offer softball teams for the following divisions/age groups based on the player's age as of January 1st of the playing season.

  • Squirt 11/12 year olds
  • Novice 13/14 year olds
  • Bantam 15/16 year olds
  • Midget 17/22 year olds
  • Ladies 21+ year olds

Players should register at one of three registration days at the Crooks Park clubhouse. Players must bring a completed registration form and payment in the form of a cheque or cash. Players new to the Majors organization must also bring a photocopy of their birth certificate with them.

What happens next?

By mid-April coaches will contact players and schedule a first team practice. At this practice, the coach will distribute uniforms as well as a schedule for uniform adjustments, games, practices, playoffs and picture day. Teams typically play one game per week and practice once per week throughout the summer in our community. Younger teams have little to no travel outside of our community. Older teams have modest travel throughout the GTA.
